You should know that your Elf does has a mind of its own and will 'on occasion' improvise and wiggle it's bottom at the camera. Please turn on the lights during the scanning mode, you can turn them off later during the recording mode. - During the scanning mode, move the camera slowly pointing it around the area you want to use. It can take some time before the devices recognises the area.
