This app is a tool for accessing information on the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda. It is designed for policy-makers, practitioners, academics, advocates, and activists to easily access on-the-go information about WPS implementation at multiple levels. It has six main sections: Security Council Implementation, Member States Implementation, Civil Society Implementation, Resolutions and Presidential Statements, Why Women, Peace and Security, and a Resource Centre.
This app is the third edition of the Women, Peace and Security mobile application of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF)’s Women, Peace and Security Programme. It will be updated regularly with new resolutions and national and regional action plans.
The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, founded in 1915, is the world’s longest-standing women’s peace organization. WILPF's Women, Peace and Security programme promotes conflict prevention, and the full, equal, and meaningful participation of women in efforts to create and maintain international peace and security.
