SafeTrip NJ im Vergleich zu Vermont Road Report Nutzung und Statistiken
Get the most current and relevant New Jersey traffic information on your smart phone without ever taking your eyes off the road or your hands off the wheel with SafeTripNJ, sponsored by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.
SafeTripNJ provides real-time, hands-free traffic advisories for every major highway, bridge and tunnel in New Jersey.
You simply turn on the application before you start your journey. SafeTrip uses your phone’s built-in GPS and the vast data in the New Jersey 511 travel information system to determine when you are approaching traffic disruptions.
When there is an incident nearby, SafeTrip broadcasts an advisory. There is nothing to read, click, or scroll through. Just leave your phone in the center console or on the seat beside you and focus your attention on the road.
By default, SafeTrip broadcasts advisories from within a 10-mile radius, but you have the option to alter the range to your preferred distance. SafeTrip will automatically repeat advisories every 30 minutes while you remain within range of the incident, but you can change the setting as well. You can elect whether to hear advisories from all directions or just from the direction you’re traveling (the default), and you have the option of filtering out advisories from various roadway types. If you’re driving on the Garden State Parkway, you can choose to hear only Toll Roads advisories. Likewise, if you’re driving on I-78, you can choose to hear only advisories for the Highways.
The application gives you audio player controls for Play, Pause, Stop, Skip, and Replay All. These controls should not be used while operating your vehicle.
If you place/receive a phone call while a travel alert is playing and do not have a plan that allows simultaneous data and voice, the alert will pause, and will resume playing when the call has ended. You can elect (in the app settings) to permit SafeTripNJ to continue playing (or play new advisories) while on a call. This option is disabled by default and will initially pause when calls arrive unless you specifically enable it.
You don’t need to register to use the app. SafeTrip operates anonymously. We don’t receive/record any identifying information about you or your phone. By default, the app will report your device-determined speed and location to our servers. The data generated by collecting that information is valuable. It improves our ability to provide real-time information about what is happening on our roadways. If you would rather not participate, you will be able to opt out simply by clicking a button on the settings page of the app.
The application is based on Information Logistics’ patent-pending "Open Microphone Platform," which is a queue-driven streaming technology platform used in combination with your phone's built-in GPS.
IMPORTANT – This application is intended to be launched while the user is not operating a motor vehicle. Users should not use their mobile device while driving. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage, legal sanction, traffic violation, or any circumstances surrounding the use and/or misuse of this application or mobile device.
IMPORTANT - Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Standard data rates may apply, depending on your mobile service provider and plan.
IMPORTANT - NON-GPS DEVICES This application will have some limited functionality on these devices.
IMPORTANT – SafeTripNJ provides information for transportation on all major New Jersey roadways, both toll and non-toll. SafeTripNJ was created by Information Logistics Inc. under a contract with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. Please be advised that other applications which use New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway artwork, logos, photographs, or any other images or identifying objects, may not be authorized by or affiliated with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.
