WHAT IS WIRMOBIL? WirMobil is a driving service for people with disabilities. It is offered by the state of Berlin and operated by the company ViaVan GmbH. This driving service takes you to your destinations in your free time, such as sightseeing, appointments with friends, events, to the train station or to the airport. You can also get picked up from there. The service also includes stair assistance. The stair assistance can be also used without an associated ride. You can be accompanied during the ride. An accompanying person is a person who rides with you free of charge from the beginning to the destination. Journeys to doctors, therapists, as well as medical treatment in hospitals are not possible. AUTHORIZATION To use the transport service, you need an authorization number. You can do this by following the steps below: 1. Apply for an entitlement number You can obtain an entitlement number by applying to the Berlin State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGeSo). Provide information When registering, you will need to provide some information so that we can prepare for your ride. 4. Receive personal access data You will receive your personal access data from us with which you log in to the smartphone app and web app. HOW TO BOOK A RIDE WITH WIRMOBIL Book the ride 2 to about 14 days in advance. To book follow these steps: 1. Provide ride information Enter the information about your desired ride. 2. Ride confirmed and time of pick-up communicated The system will search for a ride after you place your order. Initially, a 30-minute pickup period will be communicated. We will reserve this period for you. 3. Track location and waiting time In the smartphone app, you can view the current location of the WirMobil vehicle before your trip. You can also see the approximate time you have to wait for the WirMobil. Alternative ways to register for a ride can be found at: wirmobil.de SPONTANEOUS RIDES Spontaneous ride means: you don't want to plan the ride for a long time. This is also possible. You can book the ride on the same day. Or the day before. You can not always book a spontaneous ride. Only if a vehicle is free. OWN CONTRIBUTION The LAGeSo is responsible for the billing. For accessible mobility in Berlin: BVG Muva stands for accessible mobility in Berlin. It is our service for passengers with restricted mobility who are dependent on accessible public transport. The service is primarily aimed at people with disabilities as specified in § 228 SGB IX. In addition, elderly people and people with strollers or small children, pregnant women, people with injuries and people with luggage can also use the BVG Muva. Passengers can decide at their own discretion whether accessibility is restricted at their desired S- or U-Bahn station or bus stop. In such cases, the BVG Muva comes to the rescue. We will pick you up at your desired S-Bahn or U-Bahn station or bus stop and take you to a stop of your choice within a 5-kilometer radius. The bus stop is chosen in the direction of the traffic flow for an easier connection. The BVG Muva is available weekdays from 4:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. and around the clock from Friday to Saturday as well as on weekends and public holidays. You can use it throughout Berlin within fare zones A and B - as required and without a timetable. This is how it works: 1. Download the app and register Download the BVG Muva app, open the app and register with a few clicks or log in with your existing BVG account. That's it! Now you can use our service and book your ride. 2. Book a ride Open the app and set your starting point and destination. If you activate the GPS function, your current location will automatically be suggested as the starting point. Once you have selected the route, you can add mobility aids, luggage and passengers. 3. Pick up Once you've booked your ride, we'll be on our way to you. The app will show you exactly when you can expect us to pick you up. Do you have any further questions?
