Il Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta è la più vasta area protetta del Trentino e una delle più vaste delle Alpi. Situato nel Trentino occidentale, con i suoi 620,51 kmq comprende i gruppi montuosi dell’Adamello e del Brenta, separati dalla Val Rendena e compresi tra le valli di Non, di Sole e Giudicarie. Posto tra i 477 e i 3558 m di altitudine è interessato dalla presenza di molti laghi e dal ghiacciaio dell’Adamello, uno dei più estesi d’Europa. All’impareggiabile patrimonio paesaggistico corrisponde un’eccezionale ricchezza di elementi naturalistici, primi tra tutti quelli della flora e della fauna selvatica, con la presenza dell’orso bruno. Il Parco annovera tra le proprie peculiarità anche l’inestimabile capitale di civiltà formato dal paesaggio umano e da tutte le testimonianze storiche e artistiche tramandate dalle generazioni passate, un’eredità culturale preziosa.
