Modern fugitive emissions standards require a different approach to sealing valves with packed stuffing boxes. It requires the entry of the stuffing box inner and outer diameter, the stud diameter and number of studs and the entry of the lubricant used when tightening the valve. The tool works both in Inch and Metric units. The generated torque is the torque that should be applied to the gland nuts. The installation instructions of the packing used should always be followed in detail.
