Introducing New Similarweb APIs!
The quality of Similarweb’s data makes us unique and gives us our competitive advantage. Therefore, we are proud to announce that we will be exposing more of our data to our APIs in order to give developers the opportunity to integrate our web traffic and content intelligence into their applications and websites.
For the past several months, we have given developers access to our global, country and category rank, as well as our proprietary SimilarSites, tagging and categorization technology. Developers have built some amazing products using our data, but we kept hearing that you wanted more access to the data that makes Similarweb the best competitive intelligence tool on the internet.
We listened to your suggestions and worked hard to make almost every web metric you see on Similarweb accessible by an API. We’ve also added metrics to our existing APIs, giving you more data per call. For example, our brand new Traffic API doesn’t only return a site’s global rank, but also gives you country rank, traffic geography, traffic reach for 6 months and traffic sources distribution.
Our new APIs are:

| Traffic API | Returns a site’s global rank, country rank/traffic geography, traffic reach and traffic sources distribution. |
| Engagement API | Returns a site’s average page views, average time on site and bounce rate. |
| Keyword Search Intelligence API | Returns a site’s paid/organic search distribution, 10 paid keywords, and 10 organic keywords. |
| Leading Referring API | Returns the 10 leading sites that direct clicks to the given domain. |
| Leading Destination API | Returns the 10 leading sites that receive direct clicks from the given domain. |
| Social Referral API | Returns the five leading social networks sending traffic to the given domain. |
| Also Visited API | Returns a list of websites frequently visited by users of the given domain. |
We are, of course, keeping access to our popular content analysis APIs including:

| Adult Categorization API | Detects the presence of adult content for a given domain |

| Tagging API | Returns 10 tags per domain based on semantic analysis, meta-data, anchor text and more. |
Easy to integrate and test
Our RESTful APIs return easy to read responses in either XML or JSON and we provide an easy to use, graphical testing console for experimenting with our APIs.
