StringLab vs Buzz Zone Usage & Stats

StringLab is a physical string modeling synthesizer based on Karplus-Strong theory. It is capable of reproducing the sounds of many different types of instruments, but is especially useful in the reproduction of hammered or plucked strings and other types of percussive instruments. It works by passing carefully crafted waveforms and short bursts of white noise through a series of tuned delay lines. The delay lines have an internal feedback loop with a series of filters to mimic the natural decay of harmonics found in a real instrument. StringLab allows you to discover the character of real-world accoustics, exploring the physics of how materials interact. Many new and original textures are born out of experimenting with the settings, so don't be afraid to experiment and create your own unique and dynamic instruments. Features •Karplus Strong based physical modeling. •Exciter Impact with multiple modes. •Exciter Noise with many envelope driven filters. •2 resonator objects with feedback. •8 bands per object with inversion. •4 Coupling modes. •Supports Frequency Dispersion. •Feedback low/high Damping. •Per object Body Filter. •Pitch Deformity. •External live input mode. •Preset randomiser. •Build it Preset Manager & Favourites. •Search Presets. •Drag & Drop preset export of presets. •Supports Color Sets.

Buzz zone is a boutique 'performance-oriented' polyphonic synth with a rich set of features, cutting edge DSP and a streamlined modern interface, a hybrid of warm analog modelling and state of the art digital processing with a focused feature set for endless inspiration and experimentation Features include: • 9 Powerful multi segment envelopes, one for each of the 9 main controls, with an intuitive ‘auto curve’ function • Streamlined yet versatile interface with all controls on a single screen • Deep analog modelling based on the cream of Eurorack modules and legendary vintage synths • State of the art DSP, with the latest ADAA anti aliasing techniques for rich analog sounds without digital artefacts, even when pushed into extreme territories. • Creative routing, unusual filters plus FM, AM, ring modulation and wave folding to creating harmonically rich analog timbres ideal for modern sound design • Extensive library of meticulously crafted wavetables • Vocoder mode allows you to imprint tonal characteristics of the loaded samples on to the output of the Synth engine The synthesiser features two powerful engines that can be layered together for a variety of complex sounds and textures. The ‘Synth’ engine features a great sounding 'wavetable' oscillator with a unison function for buzzy, harmonically rich timbres, hence the name! The ‘Sample’ engine can be used to layer additional textures or transients over the sound.
