When companies need to do more with less, segmentation is one of the fastest ways to find, view, and analyze the individual lines of business that matter most.
Website Segments in Custom Industry, the newest feature from Similarweb Research Intelligence, puts you in the driving seat, giving you full control over the data you view as part of your market analysis.
While broad market insights are useful, businesses need to isolate specific intel about key business lines to unpack and track performance over time. With our latest feature, Similarweb Digital Research Intelligence customers can access granular market-level data and confidently spot and explore strategic market opportunities across any line of business.
Here’s what you need to know.
Tailormade markets, built by you
With Custom Industry, you can build and analyze a bespoke market based on the industry players you care to track. Website Segments in Custom Industry gives you an element of granularity that exists nowhere else in our market. Letting you create a bespoke market view, that aggregates multiple players and business lines in a single view.
Speed up your time to insight
Sorting and sifting through irrelevant data takes time. When resources are limited, the ability to track and analyze several segments in a single view lets you quickly see the insights that can have the greatest impact on your analysis.
Size any market, any time
Modern markets are complex, often formed from a collection of pure players vs. players who do business across multiple product lines. And a whole market perspective can skew the view of opportunities, shifts, and trends. Now, you can establish the true market size for each line of business you’re in. Moving you from mass market sizing to a distinct micro-market view.
Feature spotlight
Market: US Finance Sector – Credit Card Lines
What: I want to size and analyze pure players in the U.S credit card market (think Amex or Visa), along with companies offering a broad range of financial products (think USAA, Wells Fargo).
How: Watch me build a custom market of segments and websites in less than 60 seconds.
Within Website Market Analysis, I choose ‘custom industry.’ Then, I build a market by adding nine individual segments (comparators) and three websites (pure players). On the right, you can see my segment taking form as I add new segments and sites. Once complete, I apply the correct country filter and name my industry.
Result: Welcome to granular market-level intelligence
I’ve now built a custom industry made only from those players and lines of business I want to track. From here, I can view tailored insights and a market analysis that shows: market performance, market leaders, market trends, and marketing channel performance.
Similarweb gives you complete control of the data you do and don’t see – letting you quickly and confidently explore strategic opportunities within individual lines of business.
