Embee Mobile is a San Francisco-based mobile insights provider, that Similarweb has been working with for a number of years. It is a market leader in mobile audience analytics, consumer panels, and mobile sampling. The depth and quality of its data is unmatched and the panels are opt-in, providing unique real-user insight.

As the most trusted platform for understanding online behavior, millions of people use Similarweb’s insights daily to broaden their knowledge of the digital world. The acquisition of Embee will strengthen Similarweb’s mobile data capabilities, and our customers will benefit from:
- Rich mobile app intelligence. Embee’s metered panel technology and direct relationship with panelists will allow extensive mobile app behavioral and performance data to be integrated into Similarweb’s insights. This will show deeper behavioral insights, such as in-app searches, clicks, and journeys. Without panels, these behavioral insights are nearly impossible to obtain from “walled gardens” apps like Facebook, Amazon, and Google.
- Deeper insight into customer journeys. By bringing together quantitative behavioral metrics with qualitative survey data, customers will be able to get insights into the in-app consumer journey. These insights are extremely valuable for market researchers and marketing professionals working to increase brand awareness. And for those optimizing ROI of marketing spend in apps – relevant for almost any B2C industry or brand — as well as agencies, consultancies, market research firms and investors servicing or analyzing them.
- 360-degree insight into digital performance. By integrating Embee’s pioneering in-app behavioral data with Similarweb’s leading desktop and mobile web intelligence, we will provide cross-platform, comprehensive insights into consumer behavior, including browsing, shopping, entertainment, gaming, and more.

2021: A year to remember
This exciting acquisition comes at the end of a very busy and successful year for Similarweb. Back in May we IPO’d and became a publicly-traded company. Then, in September we partnered with Google to power its Market Finder tool, and just a few weeks ago we won Best Alternative Data Provider at the Hedgeweek Americas Awards. So, we are really excited to end the year on a high by welcoming Embee Mobile to Similarweb.
