DoorDash: U.S. Web Traffic Down 19% in Q4 and Android App Monthly Average Users fell 11%

Looking back at Q4 results, Doordash saw a 19% drop in web traffic and an 11% decline in monthly average users (MAU) on Android in the U.S. The company continues to lead peers UberEats, Grubhub, and Postmates by a wide margin.

Doordash Q4 Web traffic weakened
Taking a look at Similarweb data on monthly visits to doordash.com on desktop and mobile web, traffic was 19% lower in Q4 on a year-over-year basis and fell 4% versus Q3. According to Similarweb’s Investor Intelligence team, “mounting challenges in consumer spending are beginning to erode discretionary categories like food delivery.” You can see monthly visits over time in the chart below.

Taking a look at Similarweb Android app data in the U.S. for DoorDash, monthly average users (MAU) fell by 11% on a year-over-year basis in Q4, and declined 5% versus Q3.

Looking at the two charts below, you can see that Doordash leads rivals Ubereats app, Grubhub app, and Postmates by a wide margin in terms of both monthly visits on desktop and mobile web in Monthly Average Users on Android phones. So while it may have seen a tough quarter in terms of usage and visits, DoorDash maintains a large lead over its peers.
