Phil Westcott

Phil Westcott is the co-founder and CEO of Filament AI. Founded in 2016, Filament is a 50-person strong AI consultancy and software delivery firm based in the UK and Canada, specializing in deriving intelligence from unstructured data. Before Filament, Phil ran the IBM Watson partnership platform in Europe, led their Smarter Cities business in South East Asia, and launched IBM’s global IoT practice. He is a regular speaker on the convergence of AI tech, entrepreneurship, and investment. He is an entrepreneur-in-residence at the University of Nottingham, a Chartered Engineer, and holds an MBA from IESE and Columbia Business School. Phil is married with 3 children and lives in Wimbledon in southwest London.
